Brown), Battleworks in Hunt and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet 94 Flight’s Down (choreography by Emily Molnar). Fri., September 8 | 7:30PM | FREEIllustrating how the art of dance passes from generation to generation, Trisha Brown Dance Company is joined by Stephen Petronio Company, directed by the former Brown Company dancer, and includes a work by Ashleigh Leite, who danced for many years with Stephen Petronio’s troupe. Sun., September 10 | 4PM & 7:30PM | FREESalsa, from the Clubs to Broadway. Amateur salsa dancers compete all afternoon for cash and the right to perform on the 7:30 program featuring awardwinning salsa dancers presented by DJ Henry Knowles and Maria Torres. After the show the audience is invited to dance to music by the New Swing Sextet. Evening Stars is produced in association with the Downtown NYC River to River Festival, a summer-long celebration featuring hundreds of free music, dance and cultural programs in Lower Manhattan from May to September. River to River is presented by American Express.
