Acevedo’s exhibitions in national and international institutions include Exit Art, Bard College, PS1 Contemporary Art Center, El Museo del Barrio, Studio Museum in Harlem, Real Art Ways in Connecticut, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, Westfaelischer Kunstverein in Munster, Germany with solo exhibitions at Jersey City Museum and the Los Angeles Center for Photographic Studies. He is a recipient of the 2005 Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant and other awards include the Longwood Arts Project: Digital Matrix Commission, Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship.
