Christopher Saucedo was born in Brooklyn, New York where he grew up. He received his BFA from New York’s School of Visual Arts and his MFA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. After Attending the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture he did post-graduate work at the Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Saucedo has exhibited his artwork throughout the United States and abroad, with recent exhibitions at the Ormeau Baths Gallery in Belfast, The Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in Kansas City, Missouri and the New Orleans Museum Of art. He has been on the faculty of the University Of New Orleans since 1992 where he heads the sculpture program. At the moment he is restoring his artwork damaged in the floods that followed Hurricane Katrina. RESIDENCY WORK
