Esperanza Mayobre

Esperanza Mayobre was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She lives in Brooklyn, New York and has a BA in Cabinetmaking and studied visual arts at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the Artist in the Marketplace Program at the Bronx Museum.

She has been awarded with the Traveling Scholars Award. Exhibits include the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Bronx Museum, Smack Mellon, Cuchifritos, Printed Matter, Jersey City Museum, MIT Cavs, Roebling Hall, Spaces and Periferico Caracas. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Artnet, Arte al Dia and Artforum.
