Writers Lauren Silberman Lauren Silberman was born in 1976 in Stamford, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor's degree in Art History at Barnard College in 1998. She completed her MFA at the International Center of Photography-Bard Program in Advanced Photographic Studies in 2008. In 2007, she was awarded in PDN's Photo Annual as emerging talent. While she primarily works in photography, she also utilizes video, performance, and installation in her work and is one of the founding members of the Brooklyn performance art collective Fakework, which organizes and participates in underground and renegade street events throughout New York City.
