SELECTION PROCESS

A panel of arts professionals and artists selected World Views residents. They based their decisions on artistic merit, the artist’s scope of work and career stage, proposed projects and how the work might relate to and be affected by the site specificity of the World Trade Center.

Fifteen artists were selected for each cycle, preferably artists with no studios in Manhattan, a flexible attitude toward the studio setting and work that was not distracting or obstructive to other resident artists.
