Nsumi provides free consulting services for art collectives, and anyone who wants to start a collective. From March 21st to May 15th 2006, their Collective Incubator opens in New York City’s financial district in support of this process.

Nsumi’s Collective Incubator is a space for art collectives to come into being, change, develop offshoots, or mutate into other things. We offer advice, direction and ancillary services, such as:

• Ideation and initial concept development
• Advice, feedback and direction
• Design analysis
• Mediation and conflict resolution
• Architecture and landscape design
• Networking and referrals

The Incubator is fused with a multi-purpose installation that includes free art materials and kit-making stations, a library-lounge and green wall. The space has been specifically designed with downtown temps, temporary workers, interns and freelancers in mind.
