Britta Riley: Windowfarms

2010 Swing Space Resident, 156 William Street

Lush, trickling fountain-like window curtains grow mixed baby greens, herbs, snap peas, cherry tomatoes, peppers, kale, small squash, edible flowers and more. These living sculptures are spreading virally through city windows of the world. You too can grow about 25 vegetable plants in your apartment windows with hydroponics using city recyclables & join a open design project of 14,000+ people determined to make an impact on the food system.

Founding Artist Britta Riley and the Windowfarms Team will showcase the newest version 3.0 windowfarm design release and conduct workshops and windowfarmer meetups in late July and early August at LMCC's 156 William Street in Lower Manhattan.
