Andrea Galvani
Workspace 2009-2010
Andrea Galvani was born in Italy and currently lives in New York. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions and his work has been featured in many publications. His work is based in photography but also incorporates other media, combining concepts from different disciplines and utilizing scientific aspects and methods. Real experience with risk, phenomena, and physical limitations, along with the relationship to site, are crucial to the realization of his projects. Galvani has been a professor of Photographic Language and the History of Contemporary Photography at the University of Carrara for Fine Arts in Bergamo, Italy since 2006 and at the International Center of Photography in New York since 2010.
