Claudia Weber

Workspace 2009-2010

Claudia Weber was born in Germany, where she received an MFA from the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach. In 2006, the Senate Chancellery for Cultural Affairs in Berlin awarded her a one-year studio grant in New York City, where she now lives. Her work, which combines sculpture and photography to investigate the cultural signification of architectural spaces and materials, has been shown at international venues including, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin; Cité International des Arts, Paris; Kunstraum Munich; Momenta Art, New York; Loop Gallery, Berlin; 5533, Istanbul; Young Talents Biennial, Cologne; Stedefreund, Berlin; Wharf Road Project, London; JCAL, Queens; White Columns, New York; and Contemporary Art Center (CAC), Bretigny.
