Nanna Debois Buhl

Workspace 2007-2008

Nanna Debois Buhl graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, Denmark, MFA (2006). She works with film, video, drawing, photography and sound. Her artistic practice focuses on the role of narratives and the writing of history in constructing identities, individual as well as national. Methodologically her practice is research based borrowing methods from documentary, literature and histography. She has shown work at: BAC 41st International Film & Video Festival, Brooklyn Museum, Swiss Institute, Flux Factory, New York; Overgaden — Institute of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen; Århus Kunstbygning; Oslo Kunsthall. Collections include: The National Museum of Photography, Denmark. She is a member of the artist groups Women Down the Pub and The Production Unit. She is also co-editor of the book VIEW - Feminist Strategies in Danish Visual Art (2004).
