Scarf

Margarita isn't the word I thought of when I saw this photo. I thought of scarf. Two definitions.

The lovely Ms. Levin is perfectly cast to illustrate the first:
(n) a garment worn around the head or neck or shoulders for warmth or decoration. (See also M. Vevle)

And Perrence for some reason has come public demonstrating the second:
(v) to masturbate while strangling oneself. (See also S. Cameron)

Amazing what one can do with only two hands, isn't it?

hello! http://www.dirare.com/Sweden/ online directory. About DIRare, Search in Business Category, Yellowpages search. From online directory .

yes it is..gg..

I've been reading through the LMCC blog and have a few comments.

Several other Swing Space people have shown interest in it as a kind of "gathering place" for the otherwise far flung activities of the program and I gather there has been some disagreement among LMCC employees as to its purpose.

A "blog" is primarily a kind of content management system (CMS) and the fact that the term has taken on other meanings in the public imagination is beside the point. What LMCC needs is to find a way to provide both information that is useful to its public as well as make finding and navigating that information as easy as possible.

My first suggestion would be to create individual blogs for each LMCC employee then make it a requirement that they post regularly about what they are doing in their particular area -- a report to the public so to speak.

In this way each person can define and refine their personal approach to their posts. They can be short and to the point or long-winded and philosophical. The main purpose would be to provide an overview of the operation to the public and to keep inter-office communication flowing.

An editor could then summarize these posts for the front page every so often to provide an easier overview that link to the more detailed discussions.

That doesn't mean you can't have fun with it but I think the concept that blogs are only about being clever or confrontational ignores the fact, as I said above, that they are about generating and managing quality information especially if they are open to the public.

These suggestions might also apply to how the Speed Limit exhibit was conceived, but I'll leave that to another post.

Best,

Robbin

Well, not an unreasonable suggestion - but I prefer the model that doesn't define what is "useful information" in advance. Think of it as taking a walk (a derive, if you prefer). Maybe you find something interesting you weren't expecting. Maybe you don't.
