Arts Festival on Pier 36 - Call for Artists

Community Board 3 is now soliciting applications for artists and art
groups to exhibit or perform on Pier 36 at Montgomery Street. The pier
is 16 feet wide and approximately 1/5th mile long, with a view of the
Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, the Statue of Liberty and three of the
Waterfalls.

We are looking for technically simple, FREE events to contribute to
this diverse and exciting downtown community.
The pier will be available for programming from July 12th – September
28th, 3-8pm.

It is a great opportunity for artists to show work in a very unique
site-specific location for free.
All scheduling is contingent upon approval by Community Board.

Please contact Eliza Laytner for an application at:
artsonpier36@gmail.com

Preference will be given to Lower East Side, East Village, and
Chinatown groups and residents of all ages. Funding is not available
for projects. No storage, changing facilities, or stages will be
provided, but publicity and press will be taken care of.

Possible types of events:

- Theatrical performance
- Dance performance
- Musical performance
- Live music
- Art exhibitions/installations/education
- Youth activities
- Performance Art
