((audience)) is dedicated to the advancement of aural arts by providing wide distribution and new contexts for works by emerging and established sound artists and composers. Our central project is the ((audience)) festival, an unprecedented project that explores the cinema as a 21st century concert hall. We also organize a monthly salon in Lower Manhattan called Sound Off. ((audience)) is supported by the NYC Dept of Cultural Affairs and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and is a fiscally sponsored project of Harvestworks.
