About Building 110: LMCC's Arts Center at Governors Island
In 2010, LMCC transformed Building 110 on Governors Island, formerly a historic Army warehouse on the island's northern shore, into a multi-use arts facility for the development and presentation of new work in the performing and visual arts. Building 110: LMCC's Arts Center at Governors Island houses 20 visual artist studios, 2 rehearsal studios, and an exhibition space, all with sweeping views of the Lower Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. Artists-in-residence are offered a retreat-style experience just minutes from the city and audiences gain unique access to New York City's newest cultural destination.
Programs at Governors Island are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. These programs are also supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and New York State Council on the Arts.

Capital funding for renovations of Building 110: LMCC’s Arts Center at Governors Island was provided by the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.
Swing Space programs at Governors Island are supported by Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts; Asian Cultural Council; CEC Artslink; Greenwall Foundation; Jacques and Natasha Gelman Trust; JPMorgan Chase; May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc.; Milton and Sally Avery Arts Foundation; New York Community Trust; and Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
Swing Space was created in 2005 with lead support from the September 11th Fund.
