MANHATTAN ARTS GRANTS

Connecting artists and audiences across Manhattan.

LMCC offers direct financial support to artists and to arts and community organizations to share the experience of the arts with audiences on stages, in exhibition halls, classrooms, recreation rooms, public spaces, and unexpected locations across Manhattan.

“[LMCC support] has enabled Underworld Productions Opera to do our part to keep the art form evolving: introducing text-messaging to Mozart; twisting Baroque pearls with performance art; and recreating the Thomas Hill hearings in music and aerial dance... Each year LMCC distributes approximately $500,000 to support hundreds of performing, literary, media and visual arts projects in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA).
