Festival Access Fund

Jasper Just in PERFORMA, a 2006 Festival Access Fund grantee

The Festival Access Fund was designed to harness the opportunities that local cultural festivals provide for organizations to access wider audiences than they could under independent efforts. Grants for up to $50,000 provided direct support for invited festival organizers to present events in partnership with small to mid-sized cultural organizations and venues in Lower Manhattan in order to increase the visibility of participating groups and to draw new festivals and audiences Downtown.

In three years, the program awarded eight grants totaling $172,500 to support partnerships between 21 Downtown organizations/venues and five festivals.

For more information on the Downtown Cultural Grants Initiative, including grantees and program highlights, please read our report, Recovery and Growth in the Downtown Cultural Sector.
