- 6th & B Garden Events Program, a 6-month season of multi-disciplinary programs at 6th St. & Ave. B Community Garden.
- Action Arts League, Inc.
- The FIGMENT Arts Festival, a three-day participatory arts even on Governor’s Island in New York Harbor, free and open to the public to attend, participate, and contribute works of art.
- ArtSpirit
- Latin Rhythm Lab, a six-week series of weekly two-hour Latin music and Latin-themed artmaking workshops culminating with a performance in Morningside Heights.
- Cannery Works Corporation
- WestFest 2009: Images That Move, a three-event festival series where Cannery Works artists working in film, photography, and multimedia present and discuss their art in three different West Side neighborhoods.
- CityKids
- The CityKids Repertory Company (Rep) will develop an original song, script and DVD, I AM Made of ME: CityKids Speak on Bias and Hate, to be screened at a TriBeCa theater, a local senior center, and local elementary schools.
- Dance 2000: The Felice Lesser dance Theater foundation, Inc.
- Funding The Arts, will hold onsite workshops and a free ticket program for Project FIND and Covenant House in conjunction with our 2009 NYC Season at the Baryshnikov Arts Center in November 2009.
- Earth Celebrations
- The Hudson River Pageant: Art & Ecology Project engages youth, community people, schools, community centers, and organizations through our Art & Ecology Workshop Series and culminating parade/theatrical pageant.
- Fly-By-Night Dance Theatre
- Fly-By-Night’s 10th Anniversary performance project will include 3 performances of aerial dance with live music and video projection over Memorial Day Weekend at Pier 66 on the Hudson River.
- Hamilton-Madison House
- A year-long program of traditional Chinese choral music and dance as well as jazz dance, which will culminate in a community performance featuring artists from City Hall Senior Center and students from the House’s After-School Program.
- India Center, The
- Natraj Folk Arts Festival 2009, which draws an audience comprising Indian Americans and Non-Indians interested in Indian Folk Arts.
- La Compagnia de’ Colombari
- Strangers and Other Angels re-imagines the medieval mystery plays for the 21st century in an indoor-outdoor Christmas spectacle free to the public and celebrating that public.
- Manhattan Amateur Art & Columbus Music Association, Inc.
- A year-long music and dance program which includes multiple concerts in Lower Manhattan/Chinatown, festivals, fairs in parks, and community events.
- Mencius Society
- Old Craft, New Stage, a workshop series and stage production on transformative Chinese theater, culminating in a staging of an original musical with post-production dialogue.
- MOTYL Chamber Ensemble
- Engaging students and community members of diverse backgrounds in an interactive, multi-media examination of racism, prejudice and anti-Semitism to help promote cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity.
- NYC Kidfest
- NYC Kidsfest is a one day, free to the public multicultural children’s festival whose mission is to bring high quality performing artists to the families of the diverse Morningside park and Harlem communities.
- Older, Daniel Jose
- City of Love & Disaster: The Manhattan Draft Riots, a historical multimedia project created in collaboration with local youth that will culminate in three performances featuring live music and puppets.
- Tong Xiao Ling Chinese Opera Ensemble
- Wang Xi Feng, a one-night, fully-staged classic Beijing opera performance exhibiting vocals, martial arts, dance, elaborate costuming, exquisite makeup, and a live traditional Chinese orchestra.
- TRYST
- In Sign Language, TRYST will collaborate with fourth and fifth graders from PS 124 and local businesses to temporarily replace the language and imagery of commercial awning and window signs in the heart of Chinatown, and to create a performance event.
- Woolfalk, Jennifer Saya
- No Place, a performance work to be presented at the Studio Museum in Harlem as part of PERFORMA 09.
- ZEYBRAH
- African and Afro-Cuban dance/music/drama to be featured at the 9th annual Moment In Time Festival, dedicated to a cultural hero who has passed on; events include video/film/art presentations and other related musical performances.
