- Urban Dramatic Literature in Libraries and Other Centers involves a free biweekly Dramatic Literature workgroup, a free 30 session basic Dramatic Literature course, and twelve production performances and public reading.

- Together We are New York, a 10th anniversary of 9/11 through community interviews by poets and poetic responses from the Asian American community as a vital part of the fabric of our city memory and the journey forward.

- In the 13th Annual Urban Word NYC Teen Poetry Slam, five-hundred of New York City's teen spoken word poets will perform their own original work with nothing but a mic and their powerful voices.
- Warrior Writers
- Veterans Voices is a series of veteran-focused writing events that will help participants develop their skills while also creating a supportive community. The series culminates with a pubic exhibition and performance in Manhattan.
