About the artist:
Claudia DeMonte has had more than 60 one-person and 300 group exhibitions internationally including exhibitions at the Tallinn Kunsthalle, Corcoran Museum, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Tucson Museum and PS 1. DeMonte has exhibited and lectured in 35 countries. She has been a juror for the Prix de Rome and the Fulbright Fellowships. In fall 2009 a retrospective of DeMonte’s work began an eleven-venue national tour. An accompanying monograph, with essays by Eleanor Heartney and Agnes Gund, was published by Pomegranate. She is represented by the June Kelly Gallery in New York City.
