2012 Swing Space Recommended Performing Artists and Arts Groups

LMCC is pleased to announce the Swing Space Recommended Performing Artists and Arts Groups for 2012. These projects are eligible to be placed in-residence throughout the year in our rehearsal facility, The Vaults at 14 Wall Street, which is generously donated by Capstone Equities, and receive up to 250 hours of rehearsal space.

2012 Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide (SPARC) Grantees Announced

LMCC is pleased to announce the 2012 grantees to SPARC. Now in its second year, SPARC supports artists of high artistic merit and excellence who will impact the well-being of seniors positively through arts-based activities in senior centers.

New Workspace Application Timeline and Deadline for 2012-2013 Session

The deadline for the 2012-2013 session of LMCC's Workspace Residency Program has now moved to January. Now entering its 15th year, Workspace is a 9-month studio residency program for emerging visual artists and writers focussed on the creative process and professional development. The flagship residency program offers studio space, studio visits, talks and seminars, access to a network of peers, public programs, and encourages creative production, professional development, and community building in the early stages of an artist's career.

RSVP for the January Workspace Residency Information Session

Since its inception in 1997 at the World Trade Center, Workspace has provided hundreds of artists and writers with studio space in some of the city’s most noted landmarks. Attend an Info Session at which LMCC staff will review the Application Guidelines and answer questions about the residency program and selection process.

Open Call for Applications: Paris Residency for New York City-based Visual Artist

LMCC is proud to partner again with the Mayor’s Office of the City of Paris (Mairie de Paris), to provide one New York City artist or collaborative pair with the opportunity to live and work at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France for six consecutive months. LMCC is currently inviting artists to apply for this special residency. The selected artist will be assigned a live/work studio/flat in Central Paris and be provided with a monthly living stipend.
