The Art League of Long Island seeks entries for their upcoming juried exhibition, A Common Theme: Portraiture (May 20 – June 17). Noted portrait artist Burton Silverman is exhibition juror.

Founded in 1955 by a small group of creative visionaries, the Art League is dedicated to broad-based visual arts education, providing a forum and showcase for artists of all ages and abilities. As the largest art center of its kind on Long Island, the Art League is noted for the quality of its offerings and its distinguished artists. Its state-of-the-art facility, containing the impressive atrium Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery and nine spacious studios, is centrally located off Exit 42N of Northern State Parkway.
