La Superette returns to the Seaport, Dec. 4–6
La Superette 2009 will transform 210 Front Street/@Seaport, a former retail space on the corner of Front Street and Beekman Street in the South Street Seaport, into a temporary store with a huge selection of artist-made multiples from around the country. Enjoying over 10 years of success at the cutting edge, La Superette is a unique arts and crafts event with a non-commercial goal: to support and distribute the works of independent artists and designers. The variety of items includes hacked clothes, homemade electronic toys, patchwork accessories, house wares, artist books, and CDs.
