The Museum of Chinese in America invites you to a reading and discussion of Liu Xiaobo's "June Fourth Elegies," featuring Jeffrey Yang (poet, translator, and editor at New Directions) in conversation with Larry Siems (Director of PEN American Center's Freedom to Write Program)
Thursday, August 2 at 6:30pm MOCA, 215 Centre Street
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo was a prominent figure in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Each year after the government crackdown he commemorated his fellow activists with a poem.
