Past Workspace Artist LaToya Ruby Frazier has been garnering great interest in the arts world. This spring, she is having her work exhibited in the Whitney Biennial, and she will be featured in NYT Style and Art21 NY Close Up. On top of that, she is a 2012 Creative Capital Grant Recipient. LaToya's work included in the Whitney Biennial
The 2012 Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art takes over most of the museum from March 1 through May 27, with portions of the exhibition and some programs continuing through June 10. The participating artists were selected by Elisabeth Sussman, Curator/Sondra Gilman Curator of Photography at the Whitney, and Jay Sanders, a freelance curator and writer who has spent the past ten years working both in the gallery world and on independent curatorial projects.
Frazier featured in NY Times Style Magazine
LaToya will be featured in the New York Times Style Magazine in late February. The piece Timely | LaToya Ruby Frazier, Nerves of Steel, includes a short interview and part of her new photolithographs Campaign for Braddock Hospital (Save Our Community Hospital) 2011. On news stands Sunday, February 19.

Creative Capital Grant
Creative Capital Grant Recipient LaToya Ruby Frazier is a 2012 Creative Capital Recipient. The grant will fund LaToya's vision for A Monument for Braddock, a landmark built on the lot where Frazier’s childhood home once stood in her hometown of Braddock, PA.
