Past Workspace Resident Alison Ward Hosts The Beastly Beauty Benefit Party
Alison Ward, 2007-2008 Workspace Artist-in-Residence at 200 Hudson Street, will be hosting a benefit to help fund The Beastly Beauty, a performance and video installation that she is creating in Deptford, London this summer. The piece involves 20 performers engaging in a choreographed battle that combines WWF wrestling moves with burlesque and traditional dance.
The party is being sponsored by Grolsch beer, and features a silent art auction as well as a version of The Beastly Beauty that has been adapted for the gallery space.
