Danspace Project partners with the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF)’s Crossing the Line 2011 festival to present the world premiere of a new work by Bessie award-winning performer and choreographer Kimberly Bartosik/daela.

Bartosik creates a choreographic play on power, desire, and value, and constructs a dialogue between art forms, as the three dancers and one visual artist perform alongside one another.

During each performance, Brooklyn-based collage artist Jonathan Allen builds a work in real-time using objects purchased from 99¢ stores that the dancers offer and use to attract him.

Choreography and Direction by Kimberly Bartosik
Performed by Jonathan Allen, Joanna Kotze, Marc Mann, and Edmond Russo
Lighting design by Roderick Murray
