Out of Site

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of LMCC's artist residency program, Out of Site was a a series of guest curated exhibitions and special events that takes artists’ work out of the studio and brings audiences to several locations downtown to explore the program’s past and present.

Site Matters

Site Matters, published in 2004, is a book that chronicles LMCC’s residency program in the World Trade Center. Edited by Moukhtar Kocache and Erin Shirreff, Site Matters includes texts by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Erin Donnelly, Tom Healy, Moukhtar Kocache, Olu Oguibe, Liz Thompson, and Anthony Vidler and documentation of works by all participating artists.

Gulf Coast Residency

From November 2005 through May 2006, LMCC offered a temporary studio residency program in Lower Manhattan for 15 artists displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

MOVE: 133 Beekman

LMCC’s first performing arts residency, MOVE: 133 Beekman offered rehearsal space to six choreographers from January through May 2005. The residency culminated in a series of open rehearsals in May 2005.

Center for Architecture Foundation (CFAF)

LMCC’s Creative Curricula grantee, the Center for Architecture Foundation (CFAF), in partnership with PS 150 Tribeca Learning Center engaged 2nd and 3rd grade students in the study of architecture to understand how Native Americans lived more than 400 years ago.
